三、 Work Theory

Switch computer system RS232C communication into RS485
communication through ADAM4520.
One to more communication is allowed. Can join 255 modules
in the most and every module has the only address. The
inside SCM is also working. The SCM works as old instruction
while no new one appears. Data collecting module put power
oppression of output point or signals of switching into
module saving; the output module outputs according to
the numbers in EMS memory.
If system tests one module, it will firstly test the
locale general line busy or leisure: while leisure, it
sends address and input open while output shut; when address
of general line matching with some module, this module
is ready to accept instruction and the system send one
instruction, then shut ADAM4520 communication output.
The related module will work after instruction and open
output; send message back and finally shut output. The
system receives feedback and work with the data.

| 四、 Module Explanation
(一) ADAM4520:RS232C、RS485 Switching module
The scheme of standard computer only provides RS232C
communication entrance, which can only have one to one
communication in short distance and not suitable for industry
therefore it must be switched.
Except the one to more communication advantage, RS485
signal adopts comparing ways: at data sending end, one
line in high power the other in low power; at data receiving
end, it can judge the data state and have long distance
passing, which the longest distance can reach 1200m.
Adopt standard double screen lines and the system transmitting
frequency is 9600bps, 38.4kps in the most.
(二) ADAM4017: 6 minutes error, 2 single end switching
module
ADAM4017 provides 6 separating input passage, ±16 in
distinguishing rate, line errors less than 0.01%FS. The
correcting range is: ±100mV,±1V,±5V,±10V,4-20mA. While
choosing 4-20mA input, the input end must join a 250Ω
accurate resistance better than 0.05%.
Can correct module address, correspondence speed and
switch some passage.
In order to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the
system, two single end input passage is generally not
used.
(三) ADAM4052:8 passage separating switching input module
ADAM4052 provides 8 passages switching input. When the
high power in, the pressure must between 3V and 12V; when
the lower power in, the pressure must between -0.5V and
0.5V.。
Can correct module address, correspondence speed and
switch some passage.
(四) ADAM4021:separating data switching module
ADAM4021 is single passage separating data switching
module with the switching distinguishing rate of 12. It
can set output: 4~20mA,0~20mA,0~10V through software and
the largest bearing is 500Ω.
Module address and correspondence speed can be corrected
through software.
(五) ADAM4060:our electronic appliance output module
ADAM4060 provides electronic appliance touching points
output, two of which are often open points, other two
of which are often switch point. The point content is
220V0.3A、24V1.5A.
Module address and correspondence speed can be corrected
through software.
(六) Other modules
According to custom's need, the system can join other
modules:
ADAM4013 module: single passage hot resistance collecting
module can measure PT100, etc. directly.
ADAM4052 module: none separating switching input and
output module can start LED directly and input No7 and
output No.8.
ADAM4510 module: communication signal machine, communication
cable can be extended 1200m when the first continuous
machine added.
Note: in module explanation, some specialties maybe a
little worse than modules in reality, because we consider
the reliability.
五、 Connection
(一) Computer and ADAM4520
The entrance of RS232C is nine needles of D type and
entrance of ADAM4520 is nine outlets. You can make nine
cables by yourself to join computer and ADAM4520, which
the cable length should be shorter than 15m.
We provide this cable.
(二) Module & power.
The work pressure of module is 10V-30V and usually DC24V
provided. Since the signal is comparing one, a separate
power supply should be prepared for disperse modules,
which has no influence towards system correspondence.
(三) Correspondence cable joining
Although the cable joining way is equal connection,
fork points should be lessened as possible to reduce noise,
i.e. signal cable joins directly the end of module and
out signal to other modules.
In order to ensure the stability of correspondence signal
wave, it would better join a resistance in signal end
with longer cable. The resistance number is after length
of transmitting line and numbers of joint modules.

(四) connection between module and meter or control
equipment
Note the polarity of input and output ends. For input
module, the normal pressure must be ensured or it will
lead to module abnormal or even damaged internally.
六、 system station
1、Industrial computer: one set(the type and ability
is based on custom's requirement.)
2、printer: one LQ1600K
3、continuous power supply : one UPS 1000W
4、Correspondence switching module: two ADAM 4520 (one
for standby)
5、Data switching module: several ADAM 4017
According to user's collecting location and the other
one for standby.
6、Separating switching input module: several ADAM 4052,
stationed according to input points for those needed outside
equipment state. The other one is for standby.
7、Data switching module: several ADAM 4021 based on
control points. Other one for standby.
8、Continuous electric appliance input module: several
ADAM 4060 based on control point. the other one for standby
9、Temperature collecting module: several ADAM 4013.
If there is no input while testing temperature, this module
can be used for testing directly with hot resistance and
the other one for standby.
10、Switching input or output module: several ADAM 4052
based on input and output numbers of none separating switch
quantity. the other one for standby.

4510 based on length of cable and the other one for standby.

七、 work cycle

八、 Others
The vapor testing and monitoring system we designed
are based on custom requirement and several years debugging
and operating experience and have essence models. The
user can add or delete some functions in reality. |
